Who we are

Ambience Ireland ("Ambience Ireland", "we", "us", "our") provides commercially licensed background music for businesses in Ireland, including cafés, restaurants, salons, retail stores and hotels, delivered through our subscription service and mobile app. We are based at Ambience House, Sallins, Co. Kildare, Ireland, and can be reached at Support@ambienceireland.ie. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, app and music streaming service (together, the "Service"). By subscribing to or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

Subscriptions, licensing & billing

Ambience Ireland is offered on a subscription basis, with plans for Small, Medium and Large premises based on floor area, billed monthly or annually. Payments are processed securely by Stripe, and subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled beforehand. A Certificate of Music Clearance & Licensing is issued automatically on sign-up, alongside your contract, as confirmation of your licensed premises.

Your subscription grants your business a licence to play music from the Service in the premises registered to your account, for as long as the subscription remains active. Unlike personal consumer streaming services such as Spotify or Apple Music, our licensing is structured for commercial and public performance use, so you do not need a separate IMRO or PPI licence to play music through the Service.

The Service may not be used outside the registered premises, resold, rebroadcast, or used to create derivative works, without our prior written consent. Prices shown on our website are exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise, and we will give existing subscribers reasonable notice of any pricing change before it applies to their next renewal.

Cancellations, acceptable use & liability

You may cancel your subscription at any time from within your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and we do not offer partial refunds for the remainder of that period. If a technical fault with the Service prevents you from using it for a significant period, contact us at Support@ambienceireland.ie and we will investigate, and where appropriate, offer a credit or refund at our discretion.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You agree not to attempt to circumvent the Service's licensing controls, share your account credentials with unrelated businesses, or use the Service in any way that infringes our rights in the music we supply.

We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The Service is provided "as is", and to the extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service. These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
